What is Embodied Coaching?

Embodied or Somatic based coaching is a transformative approach that helps individuals and teams integrate the wisdom of the body with the insights of the mind to create lasting change. Unlike traditional coaching methods, which often focus solely on cognitive strategies, embodiment coaching delves into the unconscious patterns and beliefs that shape how we relate to ourselves, others, our lives and our work. These patterns—often formed early in life—are stored in the body and can show up as habitual reactions, tension or even ways of holding ourselves that limit our potential.

How Does it Work?

Embodied coaching goes beyond talking about challenges. It involves working with the body to uncover and shift deeply ingrained patterns that drive our behaviours. By paying attention to physical sensations, posture, breath and movement, we can access these unconscious tendencies and transform them at the core. Working somatically enables individuals to not only understand their conditioned responses but also to develop new ways of being that are more aligned with their true selves.
